Sonnet 307.7 – Encopresis

Sonnet 307.7

The way she talked about it was different

From my Mom or Dad or teachers at school

Who would blame me for for every incident

Of crapping myself without wanting to.

There were times when my Mom would get so pissed

She would make me sit on the toilet all day

With only one way of being dismissed,

She’d say “Shit where you should and then you can play.”

I was scared when I was moved to this house

With strangers who I thought would not understand

But, then when it happened they didn’t freak out.

Instead the housemother gave me her hand.

Looking at me, she said we should agree

That I could go whenever I felt the need.
